Centigon Solutions announces the new CSV connector component. This new component will enable organizations to connect directly to CSV files which can be loaded directly into Xcelsius.

As Ryan Goodman, founder of Centigon Solutions and Xcelsius Evangelist said "Any database or reporting solution can export to CSV. We want to make it easy for everyone to access data without relying on web services and XML mapping when it is not required."

I have to admit that he is right. CSV files are a great way for several requirements and match perfectly to the flat structure of non-pivot excel sheets used to build Xcelsius Dashboards.

The CSV Connector is intended for use with web applications and will enable developers to connect directly to CSV files that reside on an application server.

I just registered as BETA tester and will provide more valuable insight to this great approach soon. If the performance of this Connector is as good as expected, this would boost Xcelsius in being the No. 1 in Dashboarding Solutions.
