If you are working with large Excel Workbooks, that contain complex calculation and LiveOffice connections the import to Xcelsius might become a >30 minutes task.
In fact the calculation which Xcelsius does during import of Excel Workbbooks is almost rocket-science. So your Development machine has a lot to do. If you are an impatient person you might think Xcelsius crashes and you have to kill the task and redo your import.
FALSE! Xcelsius did not crash. The import of an highly sophisticated Excel model takes some time. Maybe it will take 10 minutes, maybe it will take 20 minutes and if could even take 1 hour if your PC is not a current high end working machine.
Take a look at my working machine (That's not bad):

When importing a Excel Workbook of 1.4MB with 8(!!!) LiveOffice connections the import duration to Xcelsius is about 20-30 minutes. So get a cup of coffee and be patient, please... ![]()
If i do an import of an highly sophisticated Excel model to Xcelsius i hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the Task-Manager and monitor the CPU-Usage. (See below)

If CPU-Usage is at a low level again and Xcelsius reacts to your Mouse actions, the import process is completed. A nice feature would be a (real!) progress bar for importing Excel models and deploying Dashboards. I can't await Xcelsius+.
