Xcelsius crashes during export to PowerPoint

Regarding version: Xcelsius 2008 SP1, MS Excel 2003

What a nice feature. You can export your Xcelsius SWF with one click to a PowerPoint file which hosts an embedded Flash. But what if Xcelsius crashes when you try to export to PowerPoint??

This issue seems to be a problem with the program stack memory. So here is a workaround that might help sometimes:

Run Xcelsius via "Command Line Interface" instead of double-clicking on the shortcut of Xcelsius or your Xlf-File and open your file using the Menu File->Open.
